A winter storm expected to bring heavy snow to parts of New Jersey through Monday afternoon has led some Burlington County districts to close schools on Jan. 3.
Many school districts throughout the state already temporarily switched to virtual learning or planned for half-days after the winter break due to a record-breaking spike in COVID cases.
However, state law prohibits schools from having a single virtual day due to the weather and have it count toward the 180 days of school required by law.
Here’s a list of schools that have made announcements related to weather in the county. It will be updated as additional announcements are made:
- Eastampton Community School
- Lenape Regional High School District
- Medford Lakes
- Rancocas Valley Regional High School
