Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November every year in the United States. The days are marked when the American people are thankful for the blessings of the past year. Rio Rancho McDonald’s Food Pantry offers free Thanksgiving food.

RIO Rancho, N.M. (KRQE) – A non-profit and fast food restaurant in Rio Rancho has made sure that no one goes hungry during this Thanksgiving. St. Felix Food Pantry partnered with McDonald’s of Rev. Rancho Boulevard for its annual Thanksgiving dinner.
It was free and open to all. In the past, it has been a full Thanksgiving dinner indoors, but due to epidemics, this year’s feast was out and included all of McDonald’s favorite menu items.
Community volunteers helped make the event possible. People began to line up at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, even before 10:00 a.m. a line was wrapped around the restaurant “People who are away from home, whose family is away from home Far from it, or for whatever reason, they’re not. McDonald’s location owner Clemy Garza says, ‘They can’t afford to cook, they can’t afford to eat – they can eat.
Family-owned Rio Rancho McDonald’s celebrates 35th Thanksgiving meal:
Last year, the family was able to serve more than 1,100 people. Garcia says this would not have been possible without the orders of about three dozen employees and all the volunteers at St. Felix Food Pantry including Sister Marie Angela, who helped launch the event in 1986.
